Everything was perfect. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodated our needs. Parking was easy, we got a spot right in front of our room. The room was well equipped. The bottle of cream in the refrigerator to add to the provided coffee, tea, and hot chocolate was such a nice touch. In fact, the whole place was filled with a little extras that make a big difference, like extra pillows and blankets in the closet, good quality products in the bathroom, a very good hairdryer, and a well-stocked kitchenette. We loved the location. Nice views out of some of the windows. I initially chose The Parnell Hotel because of its proximity to the Auckland museum and medical facilities, but the surrounding area is pleasant for a walk. The neighborhood is safe and charming, with beautiful gardens nearby. You could walk or take public transportation to the CBD, but we opted to take a short drive to Mount Eden to enjoy the sunset over the city and had dinner nearby. Overall, we had a fantastic one night stay and would not hesitate to return again.

Property was easy to get to. Easy check in on arrival. Staff were helpful throughout our stay. We booked a Premium Studio with Balcony for 3 nights. The property was recommended by a family member who stayed here 18 months ago. The location was great for us to see family and friends in that part of Auckland but we were also able to walk into CBD one day to the Art Gallery (40 mins via Uni and Albert Park) and would have also been easy to get to Domain (which you can see from the hallway of hotel). We had a great view over the docks, CBD and North Shore, Devonport and Rangitoto. There is a lovely little Rose Garden down the road. The room had two large comfy double beds, sofa and chairs, dining table and chairs. There was a good kitchen area which we didn't need to use in the end as great restaurants nearby. The bathroom was clean and shower was excellent. It was very reasonable given the proximity to CBD and bus routes in. Parnell is a lovely area to stay. Lots of beautiful architecture and streets.

This hotel suited us well. We were two friends travelling and the room was spacious with two double beds, and a small patio. We opted for a room with a kitchenette, and it was clean and well stocked with dishes, etc. This ended up being our favourite location. Although not in the heart of downtown, we were in the Parnell district, which is lovely and safe with many fun restaurants and shops on the main strip of Parnell. I prefer to be away from the areas that are too busy and overpriced, and, liking to walk a bit of distance (under an hour) we were able to walk into the CBD on days we needed to. There is also a bus that connects the area to downtown. When walking a short distance in the other direction, we discovered a rose garden, lovely park, and Judges Bay, all well worth a wander (and maybe a swim in the bay if the weather is right).

Made this booking for my parent. They loved the stay very much! they didn't have anywhere to go so they arrived one hour early and the receptionist staff helped them to check in one hour early. My parent are superstitious and didn't like rooms on 4th floor so the receptionist helped them on finding a room on the 3rd floor and even made sure they liked the room before checking in for them. They stayed for 7 nights and kept on telling me how comfortable they felt and how much they loved the room and want to stay in the same room for their yearly Auckland stay.

Location ok but public bus difficult to get. We walked to the CBD and harbour and it took 30 mins each way for both trips. Nice pub serving good food nearby in Cleveland Road. Had a room on the top floor overlooking the docks and it was possible to see the city. Lovely in the day and night. Nice breeze on the balcony. We also rigged ourselves a washing line to dry clothes on it. We read reviews about poor breakfasts but there were fruit juices, tea and coffee, cereals, greasy and dried fruits and a range of cooked things as well as yoghurt, cheese and ham.
